We are done with reading and learning different writing styles. Now your job is to practice them. All papers this semester have been written in “5 paragraph form”. Since you have become an expert in this method, you will be ready for anything other professors can throw at you—provided you remember to use this method regardless of the class. One very important thought—this method can be used with great success in any speech writing you may do. The format will work on all papers—except maybe some technical writing papers, so don’t forget what you have learned.
Assignment 10.1
This is your final project. Please spend some good quality time making sure this is the "crowning paper" of the class. It will be worth double points and will count as your final for the course.
Write a complete 5 paragraph paper using all the guidelines I have been going over this semester. I would suggest going to the "Review of Essay Rules" that I have linked in blue below.
You have a choice of two topics, pick one and write like crazy.
1) One suggested partial solution to the drug problem is to furnish drugs to certified addicts, thus removing the profit for drug dealers. Is this a good or bad idea? Discuss.
2) Should American citizens be able to own and carry firearms? Give reasons as to why or why not.
**This paper will be worth double the value of other papers since you should have it figured out by now.
